B I O

Lucy Fazakerley is a Saxophonist based in the North West of England, working mostly around Manchester and Liverpool. She has been playing the Saxophone for almost twenty years and plays not only Alto Saxophone, but also Soprano, Tenor and Baritone Saxophone. Lucy is heavily influenced by Classical Saxophone repertoire, but plays a range of genres from Classical and Musical Theatre, to Jazz and Pop. She plays a range of Woodwind instruments including Clarinet and flute, but favours the Saxophone.

After completing degrees at the University of Liverpool, Manchester Metropolitan and Royal Northern College of Music, Lucy has gone on to teach and perform. Having experience training and working with a huge range of people, and in a wide range of ensembles and settings for both performing and teaching, her passion never ceases. A personal goal is to be involved with, perform and inspire people through music, whether in lessons, in concerts or anywhere else that music can be made.

Lucy has been particularly pleased to be involved with inspiring many students over numerous years if educating, and being involved with many projects. There are too many to list, but some include her own quartet ‘Sax Talk’, involvment in ‘In Harmony’ in training, numerous dep experiences in bands and ensembles, being a member of big bands, orchestras, soloist and a recording artist significantly ‘Memories of Freedom’ by TJM Crow during the Covid lockdown. She continues to work and be part of inspiring music making throughout the North West with music services, and professional musicians alike.
